Trump wants to nominate Indians for IDFC Board.


Washington announced on Friday that US President Donald Trump would like to nominate Indian Development Devin Parekh as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Development Finance Corporation.


Parekh, managing director of software investment firm Insight Partners, will be nominated for three years.


Parek previously served on the Overseas Private Investment Corporation board from 2016 to 2018 and from 2010 to 2012 in the U.S.  Was a member of the Advisory Board of Export-Import Bank.


A prominent Indian-American world-class entrepreneurial capitalist, B.Sc.


Last month, he co-hosted a virtual fund raiser for former Vice President Joe Biden, who is the Democratic presidential candidate against Trump.


Parekh was also a prominent fundraiser for former President Barack Obama.


He also served as deputy head of the Cosmetics Main cosmetics company between 2000 and 1992, along with several chairs.  Prior to this, he was a financial analyst for the Blackstone Group from 1991 to 1992.


As Managing Director of Insight Partners, Parekh manages investments in the application software, data and consumer internet businesses nationally.  He has been active in investing in Europe, Israel, China, India, Latin America and Russia.  He has invested in India, among others.
