After such a strict action by FIFA, the central government has sought the intervention of the Supreme Court to solve the AIFF problem. The Supreme Court heard the case and directed the central government to hold talks with FIFA on hosting the Under-17 Women's Football World Cup in India.
While the final hearing will be held in the Supreme Court on the 22nd, the Central Government has expressed its opinion in the Supreme Court on Thursday. After the suspension of AIFF, the Supreme Court has been informed that efforts are being made to find a solution with FIFA on behalf of the Central Government, to organize the Under-17 Women's Football World Cup to be played in India.
Discussions are going on with FIFA about hosting the Under-17 Women's Football World Cup in India. It has been decided to organize two more meetings with FIFA. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the Supreme Court that we are very optimistic about FIFA's permission to host the Under-17 Women's World Cup in India.
It is worth noting that after the suspension of AIFF by FIFA, the government of India was involved in this incident and the Supreme Court was requested to find a way to solve this problem quickly.
A bench comprising Justices DY Chandrachud, AS Bopanna and JB Paridwala directed Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to hold discussions with the government, the Committee of Administration and FIFA on the organization of under-17 women's football.
Similarly, the Supreme Court directed the Solicitor General to inform the central government and COA about the steps taken by the AIFF elections. The final hearing will be held in the Supreme Court on 22nd.
